Alex Rowe is 28 years old and is the captain of the infamous Silvana. He was once a vanship pilot and flew with the love of his life, Yuris.

He flew the mission with Hamilkar Valca and George Head to deliver the 10 star mission and was the only survivor. While he was in the grand stream, he watch the two men die and then Yuris die. He would see Delphine watching from Exile and this would lead him on a quest to capture Exile and free the skies from the Guild, and to kill Maestro Delphine.

Throughout the show he is trying to gather all the mysteria and is eventually successful in his quest.

However, he prevents himself from learning all of them incase he was ever captured. Coincidentally he is captured and given truth serum by Delphine so that he will say all the mysteria and give control of Exile to the Guild. But, not knowing all of the mysteria this never happens.

During the final battle he manages to break free of his restraints and kill Maestro Delphine. However, the Silvana opens fire on the Guild Warship he is on (They know Delphine is aboard but not him). He whispers, "Yuris..." and Wina hears him. She tries to tell Sophia to stop the guns from firing but it is too late. The Silvana destroys the ship he is on, killing him. His last words are, "To the Sky."

Sophia is in love with Alex through the show but he never returns her affection because he is filled with hate for Delphine and still mourns Yuris. He is a very skilled fighter (able to disable a guild starship in one shot) and seems to have a history with everyone in the show.

When he delivers the news of Claus and Lavie's dad's deaths he leaves his vanship behind making the two kids think it was their dads's ship. It is later revealed this isn't so and is never explained why he did that.
