Description: (This is background info. If you want the more detailed version refer to episode 46 guide) BanchouLeomon shares a body with Masaru's father, Suguru. The way this happens is one day Suguru enters BanchouLeomon's territory and they fight. After the battle the two become friends and BanchouLeomon joins Suguru on his journey to find Yggdrasil. They eventually run into Craniummon and fight him. During this battle Suguru evolves BanchouLeomon into his burst mode and they defeat Craniummon. Yggdrasil reveals himself to the two after this battle because he was impressed by them. Suguru and BanchouLeomon tell Yggdrasil their wish for humans and digimon to live peacefully together. However, Kurata's massacre ruins this. Suguru bets his life that this will never happen again because he believes his son will stop Kurata. Well, it happens again! During the execution BanchouLeomon volunteers to kill Suguru himself. He does so and then takes Suguru into his body believing he is fooling Yggdrasil and keeping him alive. Yggdrasil, being the god of the digital world, sees this happen and takes over Suguru's body. He tells them if they ever reveal to anyone that Suguru is inside BanchouLeomon's body or help Masaru and the others then he will destroy Suguru's body.

BanchouLeomon is first seen when he saves Masaru and co. from some Gizmon XT. He tells the kids they need to find some strength if they wish to defeat Kurata and he takes his leave. When the kid's digivices break, they look for Masaru's father so he can fix them and instead find BanchouLeomon's dojo. BanchouLeomon trains them to be able to evolve their digimon to their mega levels.

When the two worlds are about to collide, he holds up the digital world with his digisoul. Craniummon eventually relieves him so he can go help Masaru and the others against Yggdrasil. He reveals to Masaru and the others when he arrives that he is Suguru and BanchouLeomon. He and Suguru hold down Yggdrasil and tell ShineGreymon/Masaru to attack them so Yggdrasil dies. They do so, killing BanchouLeomon (Suguru is later revived by Yggdrasil) but Yggdrasil lives on.
