Chihiro Ogino/Sen: A ten year old girl who is the main character in the movie. In the beginning of the movie she is whiny and frightened by what she is experiencing. However by the end she changes into a smart and courageous girl.

Chihiro is moving to a new home at the beginning of the movie but finds herself at a bath house catering to the spirit world thanks to her parents. Her friends inside of the bath house, Haku, Lin, Kamajii, and later Yu Bird and Bou, help her adapt once Yu-Baaba gives her a job. Once she

receives a job, Yu-Baaba takes her name which she would’ve forgot if not for Haku. Her bath house name is Sen, which is another way to say the “chi” of Chihiro in japanese. Sen helps the worker named Lin who helps her adjust to her new job.

On her first day on the job a stink spirit appears that she must clean. She succeeds earning her respect from her peers and Yu-Baaba. While at the bath house she is stalked by a monster named No-Face who she eventually becomes friends with.

When No-Face enters the bath house he changes into something evil and sinister because of the greedy influence coming from the bath house workers. No-Face begins eatting workers and causing a mess of the house which Chihiro is able to stop.
