Yoshino has a dream of when she was a young girl. She is crying and her mom is trying to get her to leave a locker room but she refuses. Yoshino wakes up and tells the group she is feeling better now that she has had the vaccine and can continue their journey. Touma tells her at their pace they’ll reach Mercurimon’s lair by tomorrow night.

Inside his lair, Mercurimon says he can hear the humans approaching. Ikuto and Falcomon vow to rid the world of the humans. Alone with his own minions, Gotsumon learns that Falcomon gave the humans a vaccine and promises to kill the traitors.

The group is now in the snowy mountains of the digital world and Masaru and Agumon are wanting to rest but Yoshino tells them no and the group continues moving. Ikuto and Falcomon appear and attack. Falcomon evolves into Peckmon and the two continue their assault. The group doesn’t fight back but runs away. Gotsumon watches from a distance and realizes it is a good opportunity to attack. He orders a Mammothmon to attack and the Digimon causes an avalanche which overcomes DATS and Ikuto/Peckmon.

At HQ they lose the group’s signal and Satsuma decides it might be time for himself to finally go to the digital world. The old man then appears to Satsuma’s surprise.

Masaru and Agumon climb out of the snow and look around for the others. They discover Gaomon who is looking down a canyon where Touma, Yoshino, and Raramon fell to. Ikuto and Falcomon attack and Masaru tells Gaomon to go rescue the others while he deals with Ikuto.

Yoshino has another dream of a younger version of herself watching her two sisters playing the piano at a recital. Her turn comes up and she nervously gets on stage. She begins to breakdown and then Yoshino is woken up by Raramon. Yoshino sees Touma and wakes him up. Raramon senses Gotsumon coming and the three hide. They watch Gotsumon conduct a search and Raramon says they must defeat them. Yoshino says they can’t and that she is weak compared to Touma and Masaru. Raramon reassures her and says that she’ll evolve to her ultimate form eventually. Yoshino thinks about her failing at a piano recital which makes her think she’ll fail at evolving Raramon.

The three are discovered by Gotsumon and Raramon leaves Touma and Yoshino behind to fight Mammothmon. Gaomon appears to help Raramon but Raramon tells Gaomon to go protect Touma and Yoshino. Raramon vows not to run away even if she can’t evolve into her perfect form.

Masaru and Agumon continue fighting Ikuto and Falcomon. Masaru questions why Ikuto hates humans and learns from Ikuto that humans killed his mother (his Digimon mother, Frigimon) Masaru gets the best of Ikuto and Falcomon forces Ikuto to retreat.

In the canyon Raramon continues fighting and Gaomon tries to convince Yoshino to go help Raramon because she is fighting with everything she has. Raramon puts Mammothmon to sleep with a song that reminds Yoshino of the song she played at the piano recital. The day of the recital happened to be the day that Yoshino received Budmon (Raramon’s baby form.) We learn that Raramon came to the human world because she heard Yoshino’s piano playing.

Yoshino gains confidence in herself and Masaru appears with Touma to be there for her. Yoshino gains her digisoul and digivolves Raramon into her ultimate form, Lilamon! Lilamon fights Mammothmon and easily crushes her foe. The group celebrates that all three can evolve their Digimon to ultimate level and move on.
