Masaru and co. have returned to DATS HQ after their battle with Kurata. Masaru notices no one is around but that doesn’t last. Hashiba enters with men and accuses the kids of betraying them and joining the Digimon. Hashiba dismisses the kids from DATS and informs them that Satsuma has been arrested for treason. Kurata appears and tells them this wouldn’t of happened had they simply listened to him. Hashiba’s men grab hold of the kids and erase their memories of their partner Digimon and anything that ever had to do with Digimon.

Masaru wakes up on a bench…now with no memories of Agumon. Agumon and the other Digimon have been imprisoned inside the HQ. Kudamon tells the Digimon that he and Satsuma had suspected that Kurata was up to no good because of the events that unfolded. Falcomon says he is confused by the humans because first they want to protect the Digimon and then they want to destroy them. Kudamon explains to Falcomon that the two worlds were separated by a barrier, but the barrier weakened. Digimon began entering the human world and DATS was formed.

Masaru is in school and looks out the window at where a fight had occurred. This makes him briefly remember some of his old battles but he doesn’t understand what they are. Yoshino has the same problem as well as Touma (When Touma’s butler brought him tea, he brought two cups for Touma and Gaomon. They didn’t understand why two were brought).

Agumon, Raramon, and Gaomon remember all the battles they had with their partners and what they learned during all their hard times. This inspires the Digimon to try harder when breaking out. They also believe once they break out, their partners will remember them once they see them. Agumon heats up a baby burner and destroys the cage that they’re being held in. The guards respond but Raramon puts them to sleep. Kudamon passes out their partners digivices and they split up into two groups. Agumon, Gaomon, and Raramon go get their partners and the rest rescue Ikuto, Megumi and Miki, and Satsuma. Ikuto separates himself once free to go avenge Mercurimon, forcing Megumi and Miki to chase after him. Ikuto reaches Kurata who has three mysterious Digimon with him. He evolves Falcomon into Yatagaramon and attacks Kurata but his attacks fail because of the mysterious Digimon protecting Kurata (We never see what they look like, just their glowing red eyes). Ikuto and Yatagaramon are defeated and Megumi/Miki appears on the scene to witness what happened.

Touma is boxing alone when Gaomon appears. Yoshino is looking at a piano when Raramon appears before her. At dinner, Masaru’s family has a large amount of leftovers (because Agumon would usually eat it) Agumon appears and eats the rest of it. Masaru gets angry and yells at Agumon for breaking into his house. Agumon tries to get Masaru to remember him but Masaru just shoves him to the floor. Agumon brings Masaru to the spot where they first met in hopes that Masaru will remember him. Agumon explains to Masaru how they fought man-to-man and how he became his follower. Gaomon and Raramon continue trying to jog Touma’s and Yoshino’s memories. Masaru tells Agumon to shut up and get lost. Agumon punches Masaru which makes him remember everything. He has flashbacks of their first fight, Agumon evolving into GeoGreymon, and some other earlier memories. When he comes back to reality, he says Agumon’s name and remembers everything.

A Gizmon AT appears and Kurata sees that Masaru has remembered everything. Gizmon AT attacks but MachGaogamon/Touma and Lilamon/Yoshino appear to stop the attack. Kurata is angry to see the others have also gained their memories back and also managed to defeat Gizmon he sent after them. A battle breaks out and the Gizmon AT is defeated.
