It is Sunday morning and Masaru and Agumon are eating fried eggs. Masaru gets into a fight with Agumon because he ate the last fried egg and because Agumon was served first over him.

In his mansion, Touma is taking a shower.

At Masaru’s house, Agumon is trying to get Chika to help him onto a bike so he can be with Masaru. Masaru is eventually shown giving Agumon a piggyback ride with Agumon’s disguise being a stuffed animal. His DATS communication device begins to beep and he learns that a Digimon has appeared.

Elsewhere a group of teenagers watch a Digimon named DemiMeramon shooting fireballs at things. Masaru and Agumon appear and begin attacking. However, Agumon’s baby flame and Masaru’s punches have no effect. DemiMeramon runs off and the two follow in pursuit. The teenagers wonder what the creatures were and Touma appears, erasing their memories.

Masaru and Agumon are now back at headquarters discussing with Yoshino how he couldn’t get DemiMeramon. Touma appears with DemiMeramon’s digitama and all the girls go crazy for him. Masaru asks who he is but Touma ignores him. Masaru yells at him but Touma once again ignores him and proceeds to introduce himself to Captain Satsuma. They discuss the increasing appearances of Digimon in Japan compared to Touma’s last station, Europe. Satsuma tells Masaru to introduce himself and Masaru tries to say he is Touma’s superior. Yoshino tells him that Touma use to be with the Japanese division of DATS but he moved to Europe. The girls begin educating Masaru on Touma’s background. He’s a genius, a noble from Austria, and a very skilled fighter.

Touma tells Captain Satsuma that Masaru should be kicked out of DATS. This angers Masaru who tries to punch him but Touma dodges. The two head off to a boxing ring to fight. Masaru opens up with a bunch of punches but Touma easily evades each one. Touma fires off two punches knocking Masaru to the ground. He is unable to get up before 10 and Touma wins. As he leaves the ring, Masaru gets up and punches Touma in the face explaining a fight doesn’t end until one side is silenced.

We then see Yoshino bandaging up Masaru and telling him he was lucky it was a draw because Touma had fought Olympians in the past. Alarms begin to sound off and they discover another DemiMeramon had appeared…with hundreds of friends. Touma says leave it to him but Masaru and Agumon want to fight them as well. Touma says he’ll handle it and leaves. Masaru and Agumon begin to run after but Satsuma tells them they’re not needed. They argue but Captain Satsuma says it is an order. He then orders Yoshino and Raramon to assist Touma and Gaomon.

At the docks, Gaomon begins fighting the DemiMeramon. Touma makes Gaomon digivolve into Gaogamon. In under three minutes and forty-seven seconds all the DemiMeramon are now digitama. More Digimon appear and Touma/Yoshino are dispatched to a new location.

At HQ Kudamon tells Masaru this is why Touma is stronger than him. Masaru runs out upset with Agumon following him. Masaru trips and tells Agumon that his self-confidence got him mad and he questions what he is doing. He picks himself up and runs into the old man who gave him a digivice. He sees him trying to cook a fish and having a hard time starting the fire. The old man explains that if you try hard enough then the wind won’t blow the fire out (suppose to be a lesson). Satsuma tells Touma there are more Digimon in a new location. Masaru overhears and says he’ll handle it because Touma and Yoshino are ten minutes away. Satsuma says he doesn’t approve but Masaru ignores him.

Masaru-now with the old man’s lesson, tells Agumon to attacking the DemiMeramon but Agumon knows it’ll be futile. His attacks cause the DemiMeramon to digivolve into Meramon. Masaru attacks and is now able to actually hit the Digimon. With his digisoul in hand, he causes Agumon to digivolve into GeoGreymon. Touma and Yoshino appear on scene to see him fighting Meramon. GeoGreymon attacks and turns Meramon back into a digitama.

Back at HQ Touma tells him he has no skills and no tactics. Masaru tells him he is just a sore loser and Captain Satsuma eventually stops their fighting. The captain tells them they are now teammates and the episode ends.
