Masaru is making his way to the battle with Agumon’s egg on his back. He tells Agumon that he wishes to fight together with him and notices how much of the city is destroyed.

Touma orders MirageGaogamon to attack Belphemon which shocks everyone. They realize he didn’t betray them after all. Touma criticizes Belphemon/Kurata for fusing with a Digimon when he hates them so. MirageGaogamon tries to hurt Belphemon but he is unable to as Belphemon is immensely stronger.

Masaru arrives to see MirageGaogamon is fighting Belphemon. He charges Touma and punches him to the ground. Touma tells Masaru how much his fists impact the heart and informs him of Kurata fusing with Belphemon. Both have now made up. Masaru attacks Belphemon/Kurata and is knocked back by him. Touma and MirageGaogamon save him and then tell him to stay back because he doesn’t have Agumon.

The fighting causes the limo that Yushima, Relena, and Touma’s father is in to shake as they escape the city.

Belphemon has MirageGaogamon cornered and is about to finish him off but the rest of the group finally joins the battle and saves him. Belphemon knocks all the Digimon to the ground. Yatagaramon vows not to lose and attacks once more but Belphemon throws him to the side and he changes back into Falcomon. Ikuto and Kurata/Belphemon get into an argument about Digimon having hearts just like humans. Ikuto defends his friends and all the things he learned from the Digimon that Kurata/Belphemon mocked. His digisoul begins to slow and he evolves Falcomon into his mega level, Ravemon. Ravemon attacks Belphemon and is able to hurt him. Kurata/Belphemon is shocked at Ravemon’s power and tries to hurt him but keeps missing. Kurata/Belphemon gets extremely pissed off and the chains surrounding his body break. The demon lord goes on a rampage and attacks everyone around him. He targets Masaru but Ikuto and Ravemon stand in the way of the attack. They fall to the ground and Ikuto tells Masaru he did it because he is his friend. Masaru yells at Kurata/Belphemon but Belphemon responds that Kurata is no longer in control and that the real Belphemon is. Touma tells everyone that Belphemon won’t play around like Kurata did and the damage will be severe.

Meanwhile, Sayuri cooks some fried eggs. Chika tells her mom that she hopes Masaru is ok without Agumon. Sayuri tells Chika that Agumon will be back soon because he loves Masaru so much.

All the Digimon attack Belphemon but one by one are knocked out by Belphemon. Masaru watches helplessly on the sidelines and tells Agumon once more that he wants to fight with him. He asks him if he feels the same and his egg begins to crack. A Koromon appears and bites Masaru’s head. Masaru is surprised not to see Agumon and remembers that BanchouLeomon said once he is reborn he may not remember his past life. Masaru begins crying and Koromon asks his Aniki what is wrong. Masaru realizes Koromon does remember him because he calls him Aniki. The two tell each other they want to fight together and Koromon evolves into Agumon.

Meanwhile, BanchouLeomon watches from the tallest building in the city and says a digisoul can’t be born from a fist of hatred. (wtf, why is he not helping fight Belphemon.)
