Yggdrasil has just emerged from the wreckage of the world tree in his true form. He opens attack on Masaru and co. with his crystals. He then sends more crystals into the human world that annihilate many cities. Yggdrasil tells them this is divine punishment for fighting a god. The Digimon tell them they won’t let him get away with this and ask their partners to evolve them. Touma, Yoshino, and Ikuto evolve their Digimon to their mega levels (Agumon is still at his mega level from the last episode). Yggdrasil begins fighting the four Digimon with his crystals. Yggdrasil launches tentacles when they get close to him. Masaru summons the GeoGrey Sword for ShineGreymon. However, when ShineGreymon hits Yggdrasil with it, it snaps. Yggdrasil summons a large crystal and sends it right at the group. The Digimon take the crystal head on and are knocked to the ground by the explosion. Masaru tells Yggdrasil they will never stop fighting him as long as they’re alive and they will keep striking him until he falls. Yggdrasil summons another giant crystal and Gotsumon tells to wait because if they get hit again they will die. Masaru remembers his dad telling him there will come a time in a man’s life when he must accomplish something at the risk of his life. The others pick themselves up and say they will fight on to protect everyone. Yggdrasil then departs for the human world, saying he will remove the very thing they fight for. Masaru, Touma, Yoshino, Ikuto, their Digimon, and Gotsumon take off after Yggdrasil.
Craniummon continues to hold up the digital world. Garudamon tells Chika they should leave because it is dangerous but Chika says they can’t because Craniummon is holding up the digital world in her dad’s place. Yggdrasil appears and calls Craniummon a traitor. He tells Craniummon that his life won’t be in vain as he can watch him destroy the human world. Yggdrasil summons a crystal, destroying a city and leaving nothing but an empty data void. Chika faints, and Garudamon attacks Yggdrasil. Yggdrasil attacks back and Garudamon devolves into Biyomon. Chika asks Yggdrasil why he did that and he responds that it is purification. He then says the evil hearts of humans caused this and he shall reduce the world to ashes in order to save his own. He then fires a crystal at Chika and Biyomon but ShineGreymon appears and destroys it. Masaru and co. gain their digisouls and give their Digimon their burst modes. ShineGreymon, MirageGaogamon, Rosemon, and Ravemon combine their attacks into one leaving a big gap in Yggdrasil. Yggdrasil fires his vines at the Digimon and then repairs himself. He tells them that he has ever lasting life and can be resurrected at any time. He shocks the Digimon causing all of them but ShineGreymon to devolve. Yggdrasil then fires his crystals all over the world destroying many cities. Masaru and co. pick themselves up to inspect their partners. Masaru discovers ShineGreymon is now Agumon again and that he is out cold. Masaru yells at Yggdrasil for hurting Agumon and Yggdrasil responds that countless Digimon share the same feelings as him when the humans attacked. He then says his judgment is the will of the Digimon. Ikuto tells him that is not true because there are Digimon that will understand humans and fight for them. Yggdrasil asks where they are. Craniummon begins to buckle under the weight of the digital world. Masaru tells him it is too early to give up. Masaru gains his digisoul once more and tells Yggdrasil that they will create a world where humans and Digimon can live together. He then sends his digisoul into the air saying he’ll save them both. Touma, Yoshino, and Ikuto join in as well.
In a bunker, Kamemon walks outside.
Megumi and Miki wake up from their battle and see their PawnChessmon fly away into the air.
Sayuri sees the baby Digimon leave her house.
Gotsumon and Biyomon fly away saying someone is calling on them. Yggdrasil realizes they’re trying to force back the digital world.
Satsuma and the Noguchi’s look on as thousands of Digimon fly towards Mt. Fuji where Masaru and co.’s digisouls are shooting into the air. Mr. Noguchi says the Digimon are being affected by human emotions (our attachment to life).
Yushima, Franz, and his daughter are outside observing the events. Yushima continues what Mr. Noguchi was saying by telling us that that emotion (our attachment to life) is pure and unbeatable. Relena then asks if the Digimon are responding to our will to live. Craniummon begins to feel all the Digimon and lifts the digital world up. Touma realizes they have stopped the digital world from falling. Yoshino says it is the power of human emotions. Yggdrasil says human’s emotions caused the Digimon to run wild in their world. The remaining knights appear. Yggdrasil orders them to kill Masaru and co. Omnimon asks Yggdrasil what is a god? He then says their comrades are trying to save both worlds and he wonders why Yggdrasil is willing to abandon them. Yggdrasil then says you cannot question him. Gallantmon appears and tells Yggdrasil that Sleipmon showed him the truth: that god is not absolute and can make mistakes. He tells everyone Sleipmon burned up all of his digisoul and saved him from the dark depths of the ocean. Masaru asks Gallantmon where Sleipmon is and Gallantmon opens his hands and reveals Kudamon. Gallantmon tells Yggdrasil that both humans and Digimon share the desire to live and if he is really a god then he should grant their wish. Yggdrasil attacks the royal knights and the kids. Yggdrasil then changes (mentally) and begins to say that he is Yggdrasil, a WIZ9000 computer model built to observe the evolution of Digimon. He says his experiments on evolution have resulted in failure due to human intervention and that a program acting on Error Code 401 will be initiated and all systems will be switched over to a new world. Yggdrasil then attacks everything around him. Gallantmon tries to stop him but is just knocked back. He targets Craniummon so the Royal Knights join their comrade to help hold up the digital world. Yggdrasil then says the probability of preventing the human world and the digital world from colliding is 0.00001%. Yggdrasil is unable to compute everyone’s wish to live and says that anyone who interferes with his program execution will die. Masaru yells at Yggdrasil for wanting to get rid of everything because nothing went his way. Agumon picks himself up and tells Masaru, “Let’s beat him!” |
