Masaru and Agumon charge Yggdrasil and dodge his crystals along the way. The other Digimon attack the crystals to help them get to Yggdrasil. Yggdrasil sends down some vines that Masaru and Agumon use to climb up. Yggdrasil sends more crystals at Touma and the others but Gaomon, Raramon, and Falcomon evolve into their champion forms and pick them up (they evolved without their partners digisouls). They attack Yggdrasil and Masaru and Agumon continue making their way up to Yggdrasil’s face. They evolve once more into their ultimate forms-MachGaogamon, Yatagaramon, and Lilamon. Masaru and Agumon make it onto Yggdrasil’s main body and are attacked once more by crystals. MachGaogamon destroys the crystals and evolves into MirageGaogamon. Lilamon and Yatagaramon do the same and evolve to their mega forms when they are attacked by vines. MirageGaogamon, Rosemon, and Ravemon distract Yggdrasil with their attacks so Masaru and Agumon can punch him but Masaru and Agumon are grabbed up by vines.

Yushima, Franz, and Relena continue to watch. Yushima says the Digimon are making every effort to support the digital world in their place and that they can’t give up hope or else the Digimon’s fights are in vain.

Masaru and Agumon are shocked by Yggdrasil.

Chika, who is with Kudamon, yells out for Agumon and Chika. She gains her digisoul.

Relena says the Digimon are protecting and fighting for the humans and then gets her digisoul along with the Noguchi’s daughter, Megumi, Miki, and Sayuri. Around the world we see people from the series with their digisouls activating (Shiratori senior and his son- Koichiro, the boxer-Hayase Tsubasa, the singer-Hanamura Neon, Ivan, and Nanami)

All the Digimon say they want to live together in peace with the humans and then begin lifting the digital world even more. Yggdrasil continues to say that he is unable to compute. Masaru tells Yggdrasil that he’ll never understand and that humans and Digimon make each other stronger. Masaru and Agumon join hands and gain their digisouls. Agumon gains his own burst mode and flies towards Yggdrasil with Masaru on his back. Yggdrasil forms a shield but Agumon and Masaru fly through it and then through him. He breaks apart revealing a smaller version of himself and tries to escape. Masaru leaps at Yggdrasil and punches him, causing a massive explosion.

Masaru and Agumon wake up in a bright place. They see Yggdrasil who is now just a single crystal. He tells them he has seen their abilities and they were far beyond what he expected. He doesn’t understand though why they wish to live together in one world and then says if the two worlds merge then there will be a lot of conflict. Agumon says they can’t learn to appreciate each other if they’re afraid of getting hurt. Masaru then says that ever since he met Agumon, he realized that by talking with his fists, he can understand the other person no matter who they are. Yggdrasil tells them he shall lay his self to rest and watch over them and whether or not a world shared amongst humans and Digimon becomes reality will depend on them. He then leaves them.

Yoshino wakes Masaru and Agumon up. They’re surrounded by Touma, Ikuto, Chika, Gaomon, Raramon, Falcomon, Gotsumon and are told that the dimensional barrier has been restored. We see the royal knights tell everyone their digisouls awoken a miracle and then tell Masaru he is their true savior. They then disappear into a digital gate leading back to the digital world. A helicopter lands with Megumi, Miki, the Noguchis, Relena, Franz, Satsuma, Yushima and Sayuri. Ikuto is reunited with his parents. Touma hugs his sister and his father thanks him. Yushima, Megumi, and Miki hug their partners. Chika gives Kudamon back to Satsuma. Sayuri and Chika hug. Masaru tells his mom that he wasn’t able to bring Suguru back. In the distance, someone yells at them. It is Suguru in his human form. Masaru asks him how he came back and Suguru tells them Yggdrasil restored his life. Suguru greets Chika and then shares a teary eyed moment with Sayuri. The digital gate then closes.

Back at DATS HQ, Satsuma informs everyone the digital gate will stayed closed because the dimensional barrier was restored, all the lost people have been returned, and they don’t want to open it since the barrier is still fragile. Touma asks for how long and Yushima says it could be a year or forever. Masaru asks about their promise to create a world for humans and Digimon and Agumon interrupts. Gaomon and the other Digimon tells everyone all the Digimon are going to return to the digital world because they have lost their god and they want to help rebuild the digital world. They also say in the future they’ll be able to build the world for humans and Digimon.

Masaru and Agumon fight each other at the spot where they first met. Masaru calls Agumon a traitor and Agumon says he made up his mind. Agumon punches him back and says he wants to stay with Masaru forever but there won’t be any more Digimon to fight so he’ll become a nuisance. Agumon then says he wants to keep having adventures with Masaru. Masaru says he wants the same and it begins to rain. Masaru tells Agumon to go to the digital world because his world is too small for him. Agumon walks away.

Gaomon brings Touma a cup of tea that he calls, “Our Vow to Meet Again”. He then tells Touma his master is no one but him.

Raramon is playing a boxing arcade game. She pushes Yoshino to play the game who breaks the machine when she punches with her digisoul. Yoshino and Raramon run out of the arcade. Outside Raramon tells Yoshino has become stronger since she was that little girl who couldn’t play the piano by herself and that when she returns to the digital world she will continue playing the song Yoshino gave her.

Megumi and Miki polish their PawnChessmon and then go out for a night of karaoke.

Satsuma and Kudamon simply sit together.

Yushima, Kamemon, and Gotsumon get on the harbor under the moonlight. Yushima tells Kamemon to come back any time.

Falcomon and Ikuto sit on top of some power lines and think about all the things that have happened to them. Ikuto says he’ll go back to the digital world as well but Falcomon says he can’t because he has finally being united with his family. Both begin crying.

The next day, everyone but Masaru is at DATS HQ to say goodbye to the Digimon who are already loaded in the digital dive to return to the digital world. The digital dive powers up when Masaru enters with some gear telling them to wait. He tells Agumon that he is going to the digital world with him. Touma and Yoshino tell him he may not be able to come back for a while. Masaru says he doesn’t care and is going to enjoy traveling throughout the digital world no matter how long it takes. Suguru tells his son to go and polish up his manliness while he is there. Masaru tells Agumon, “Let’s Go. You and I will always be together.” Masaru, Agumon, and the other Digimon are then sent to the digital world.
