Lavie is 15 years old and a navigator for Claus. She is the daughter of a famous navigator named George Head who died trying to cross the grand stream. Her mother died giving birth to her.

Lavie is a very outspoken (and at times annoying) girl who is reluctant to have anything to do with Alvis (because of how dangerous she is) at the beginning of the series. She is often seen working on repairing her and Claus's vanship and seems to change when Claus gets lost with Tatiana.

When Claus and Tatiana returns, she gets upset seeing Tatiana in Claus's clothes making us wonder if she has feelings for Claus.
