The race continues with two hours left. Three vanships pull up along Claus/Lavie but he manages to lose them. Dio takes notice and blows Claus a kiss for his performance.

Tatiana docks for a pit stop and complains about how crappy the vanship is.

The auction continues with John Carlo questioning his bid because the starting was 5 million, and Alex bid 10 million. The Duke bids 12 million. Whispers about Exile begin throughout with numerous people bidding, slowing going up by a couple of million Claudia.

Dio makes his stop and fills up the tank completely where as Claus/Lavie decide to fill up their ship just partially.

Tatiana and Alistair finally start part of their mission by firing some items at a certain point.

Dio bugs Claus from behind and Claus/Lavie decide to let Dio pass. As Dio passes, someone passes Dio so he takes out their ship.

The auction continues with Knowls and Alex finally coming in with 30 million+ bids. Knowls starts to talk about how precious this must be to Alex. He then talks about how his son is precious to him and how he hated all combat. A phone rings and Delphine bids 100 million claudia. Knowls stops bidding but Alex bids 300 million. Delphine rings back in and bids 1 billion. Alex then bids 5 billion.

Tatiana comes in for another pit stop to do a second phase of their operation. Mullin finally sees Tatiana’s true side when he offers water to her but she just takes off. Now that the mechanics part is done, they pack up and head back.

Delphine and Alex continue their bidding war when some guys in masks and cloaks come up behind Alex with guns. Knowls tells Alex if he speaks he will die.

The race continues with Claus/Lavie and Dio/Luciola in lead. Dio continues his taunting but Claus ignores him, greatly offending Dio.

Delphine wins Exile with a bid of 50 billion.

Outside Tatiana/Alistair approach their drop off point.

John Carlo announces the end of the auction. The masked men begin to escort Alex out when a cloaked figure on stage who brought the Exile item out asks, “Who will actually open the gate?”

The Duke introduces himself and says how there was another Knowls, the captain of the Goliath and also the Duke’s son until he died in the duel.

Tatiana/Alistair release a bomb.

Claus pulls ahead of Dio. Claus/Lavie win the race and go for a victory lap. Dio/Luciola then realize that immelman didn’t go for a full tank and that’s how he won.

The lights turn off and Claus/Lavie see no mechanics at the pits.

Alex kills all the cloaked figures frightening the Duke.

John Carlo checks to make sure the Exile item is intact, which it is, but the cloaked figure is now gone. John Carlo gives the item to Maestro Delphine and it does a weird thing. (I guess it was fake or the masked guy took the true secret) John says it’s not his fault and the Maestro says it’s ok. She gives him her ring.

We then see Alex and the masked guy on stage meeting. Alex asks him how it feels to have 50 billion claudia. The guy asks about how Alvis is doing and then says he wishes to entrust Exile to Alex and how Exile should be given to someone free, like Alex. He then tells Alex what was worth 50 billion Claudia,

“What lies in the furthest reaches of one’s memory?”

The guy then says there are three more questions Alex must learn and the four answers that accompany them. Alex pays him with a weird looking stone.

Claus and Lavie sit stranded on a rock watching the fireworks. Claus tells Lavie no one will ever replace her. Lavie tells Claus she doesn’t ever want to fly in a battle again. They then promise that the next time they will fly together will be when they’re crossing the grand stream.

Dio appears and says he will give Claus/Lavie a lift back to the Silvana.

In a tunnel John Carlo kisses the ring Delphine gave him. It begins to shine and he turns into ashes.

Dio says he is disappointed that he lost because now he can’t find out what immelman’s name is.

In the hangar Claus and Lavie question why they were left behind but Alvis says it’s because they made a party for them. Dio and Luciola appear shocking everyone.

Somewhere thunder strike a mountain in the sky.
