Within the Dragon’s Fangs, the Silvana is embedded in the side of a mountain with the crew conducting repairs on the ship. Inside, Alvis is taking care of Lavie who is thinking about her childhood when her father took her to buy some “Third” water for her birthday. Lavie and her dad run into Claus and his dad, who had bought them some beef. Lavie tells us that Claus’s dad was a eccentric noble who moved in next to her and their dads became quick friends-eventually each other’s navigator/pilot. Her memory cuts to Claus’s house where Claus, his mom and dad, Lavie, and her dad, are taking a picture. She wishes that she would’ve had a picture of her mother but she died the day Lavie was born.

Inside a small hangar, Claus/Lavie’s dads are working on their vanship and give Claus a mission to get them some drinks. Lavie steals his mission!

Back inside the hangar both of their dads are showing them how to navigate and pilot a vanship.

Lavie thinks about a couple who would fly with her and Claus’s dads. These two gave Lavie her stuffed animal that Alvis clutches to.

We then see their dads showing their children their mission, a 10 star danger rated mission. The mission involved crossing the grand stream to deliver a message to Disith which would’ve ended the Disith/Anatoray war. Lavie then tells us that day was the last day they would ever see their dads again.

Her memory flashes back to a different day when the man comes back alone without his girlfriend (the couple who flew with their dads) all bloodied up and tells them their dads died. A few months later Claus’s mom would die of heartache.

Back in the present, Dio and Alistair are piloting a vanship to locate Claus and Tatiana.

We see more memories from Lavie of her and Claus trying to take off in their vanship. Some guys try to take their vanship away but they sell their home instead. This is when they have to build their workshop so they have a place to stay. We also see them training themselves to be couriers.

For the next few minutes we see clips of everything that has happened up to this point and some memories with a song being played. The clip ends with Claus and Lavie in their dad’s laps, up in the air for their very first time.

Now awake, Lavie realizes she has been crying. Alvis and Mullin are by her side when she asks where Claus is. Alvis tells her he hasn’t come back.

Dio and Alistair are now in the desert. They come upon the Disith migration capsules and then spot immelman and Tatiana.

In the Silvana’s hangar Lavie puts herself to work because she wants to fix their vanship. Alex appears and helps Lavie with their vanship when Claus walks in. Lavie spots Tatiana in some clothes she gave to Claus which hurts her feelings but Claus doesn’t realize it. The episode ends with Claus telling Lavie that he just learned about Norkia falling to the Disith.
