The Urbanus continues traveling through the grand stream when to their surprise they come upon the Silvana.
Sophia returns to the Silvana and learns of Claus, Dio, and Alvis’s capture. She questions why Delphine would take Claus.
Delphine continues her dinner, showing off the new Dio. Alvis asks Claus what is wrong with Dio, and Claus says he understands why Dio was afraid of his family. Claus asks Lucciola if he approves of the change (Lucciola has a very hurt expression) and Delphine answers for him, saying of course he does.
Delphine takes Claus, Alvis, and Lucciola to watch the Right of the Covenant. Delphine tells Claus she knows that he has been very interested in what happens above the clouds and that she will show them.
The crowed begins to chant and Dio/other young members walk out into the arena. Delphine gives a small speech about the guild and says whoever proves himself/herself in the ring will get the Sword of the Covenant, and will inherit the title of Maestro. (The fight is also known as the trial of agoon)
All the members in the arena draw their weapons and begin fighting, with Dio the clear leader in kills.
At Horizon caves, the Anatoray and Disith soldiers are about to begin the operation to capture their Claudia units.
Dunya asks Mullin about his medals and he explains their significance. Mullin also says this battle will get him his 20th battle.
Back at the trial, Secaeda tells Delphine the cacoon of Exile is ready. Claus asks why she isn’t staying to see if Dio lives and she says she only cares who will take her title and that it is Dio’s fault if he dies.
In the Silvana’s hanger, Lavie has finished working on her and Claus’s vanship when the mechanics tell her they’re planning a raid on the Guild. Ethan (a mechanic, boy have I been waiting to know that guy’s name) brings out some spare parts with a picture of Alvis’s dream on top. They promise to take it to Alvis so that she can finish it. Ethan tries to get Lavie to use her vanship in the upcoming battle but Tatiana intervenes and says their vanship was never meant for battle.
At Exile, Guild ships approach Exiles and are destroyed by Exile. Claus watches many of them get destroyed and questions why she allows them to be destroyed like that. Exile attempts to destroy the ship they’re on, but Alvis’s powers prevent that.
Delphine begins to tell a history of Exile. It was a colony ship that brought people to the world of Prester and has the ability to take people to other worlds.
Exile sends out a camera tentacle and she begins to glow and says, “I’m here now, I’m right here.” Delphine orders Secaeda to bring in the poet and Alex appears crucified and wrapped in thorns and roses.
Delphine approaches Alex and begins to kiss him. She then tells him the thorns are injecting a truth serum into his blood and he won’t be able to resist telling her the mysterian for much longer.
A short scene is shown of Lavie saying she can’t be without Claus because she is lost without him.
Alex begins to say the mysteria…
“Dagobear the waves that flow and die the land gold”
Alvis glows brighter and responds to the Dagobear mysteria,
“The blessed breath; the nurturing breath of light; A land of wheat.”
Exile responds and its Cocoon begins to glow. Claus tries to stop Delphine but Lucciola stops him.
Alex speaks the Hamilton mysteria, “What lies in the furthest reaches of one’s memory?”
Alvis glows some more and responds, “The place where all are born and all will finally return; A star of blue.”
Exile responds even more this time, sending out a shockwave that hits the Silvana and Urbanus.
Delphine tells Alex to say House Bassianus mysteria but he says he doesn’t know it. (This one he kept himself from knowing and actually gave it to Sophia. So he knows Hamilton, Eraclea, and Dagobear.) She asks who knows it and begins to torture him with the roses. Maestro thanks him and orders Secaeda to retrieve Sophia. (This part is rather confusing as Alex never said anything.)
A transmission is received by Secaeda and we see a bloodied Dio grasping the Sword of the Covenant. Delphine says they must go congratulate Dio and Claus starts to cry. Note: 1 House poem is a mysterian and two or more is called a mysteria. I had this wrong in a few of the guides but I hope it is now clear. |
