Claus and Lavie are now back at their workshop with Lavie fixing their vanship and Claus planning a route to transport Alvis. Lavie is completely against the idea of taking on a 7 star mission but Claus tries to reassure her. Lavie runs the vanship once to purge the engines of water from the canals they traveled and continues to worry about the mission.

Alvis wakes up because of Lavie’s loud voice and Alvis asks Claus where Gita is. They don’t tell Alvis Gita is dead but instead that she went back to where ever she was before. Lavie serves dinner and Alvis continues asking about Gita. Lavie yells at her and when Alvis hears a vanship she runs outside after it yelling “Gita!” Claus grabs hold of her telling her that Gita won’t be back today but the three of them can go see her tomorrow (remember, she’s dead)

Back inside Lavie continues working on the vanship while Claus looks at old pictures with Alvis until she falls asleep.

During the night Alvis wakes up and notices a stuffed animal on the shelves. She picks it up and is frightened by it when it makes noises, initially hiding it under her sheets. While messing with it she notices a flashing red light outside her window. Claus walks in and grabs hold of Alvis when the Guild starship breaks through the windows.

Claus, Lavie, and Alvis rush through their workshop gathering supplies they need and then head off in their vanship through the canals. They come to a fork in the canals where Lavie wants Claus to turn right so they can head to Union headquarters and hand the mission over to someone else. Claus looks into Alvis’s eyes and says they’re going on with the mission so he turns left.

While in the canals they look at some claudia that ran off from the mines and enjoy some dinner. Alvis starts crying and asks Claus if Gita is not coming back. He says he’s sorry, she’s not.

When they think they’ve come to the exit of the canals they realize they made a wrong turn. The starship appears out of the water forcing them to start the engine. Claus tells them to hold their breath and he takes the ship under water, and under the advancing starship.

Claus hooks the starship and exits the canals pulling the ship behind him. They fly alongside a waterfall towards the ground and at the last minute pulls up causing the starship to hit the water. The starship fires at the three causing the vanship to get damage and crash.
