The Silvana arrives at a floating shipyard/casino for repairs.

Lavie walks into the Casino to see races going on and many Anatoray soldiers drinking and partying. Lavie goes to the bar where Mullin happens to be sitting. The bartender asks her what’s wrong and she tells him she had a red out. After looking at the menu she orders some water but learns that it’s too expensive. Seeing that she can’t pay for it, Mullin slides a drink over.

In the hangar Sophia gives the mechanics a list of what needs to be repaired.

Mullin begins talking to Lavie and says to her, “To think I would run into you again in a place like this.” She doesn’t remember him until he pulls out a cantine that she threw to him during the battle of Minagith. During their conversation Mullin says he wants to serve aboard the Goliath and that his medals of survivor will help him.

The mechanics enter the bar pushing their way in between some Anatoray nobles. Some more Anatoray nobles come up to them and tell them to leave. Godwin, the head mechanic, is about to kick his butt but the mechanics talk him down.

Seeing what they did Lavie questions why Mullin wants to be on the Goliath with those losers. He says the pay is good, work is easy, and you don’t have to die (they ran from Minagith!)

In the workout room Alistair tries to get Tatiana to come with her but Tatiana says she is going to get some rest.

While gambling Gustavi wins, beating some Anatoray soldiers. Seeing this, the guy who Godwin almost beat up motions to the dealer and Gustavi loses his winnings.

Lavie and Mullin look at the birds that are to race and Lavie decides to cheer on number 2, the bird that has very low odds of winning. She nicknames him sleepyhead. They then talk about flying.

Claus wakes up taking notice that Lavie is missing.

At the track the birds get into position to race.

Mullin sees the captain of the goliath enter (who is a shrimp like Napoleon) He sits down at the betting table with a large bag of coins and is briefed on which one is likely to win (who is…fixed to win)

Claus runs into Alistair on the elevator and are pushed together by some Anatoray soldiers. Alistair blushes.

The race begins with the favorite winning and sleepyhead starting late. Mullin heads over to the Goliath captain to suck up telling him how good of a choice goldie (the favorite) is. He says he hopes to work upon the Goliath. The captain asks him what ship he worked on but after hearing he worked under Mad-Thane he insults Mad-Thane and then tells him his medals mean he is a coward.

The crowd cheering disrupts things. Lavie walks over and picks up Mullins medals handing them back to him. Sleepyhead begins to make a comeback pulling into third and then second. One of the noblemen realizing goldie may lose tells a soldier to flash a camera in sleepyheads face to ensure goldie wins.

Lavie sees the Goliath captain gloating and she throws a chair at them. The mechanics see Lavie is in trouble and head off to kick their butts.

In a room Alex is talking to the owner of the casino. He asks him if he is trying to find “Uris” still. He also says something that has to do with Exile will be put up on a underground auction during a vanship race.

A large brawl goes on between the noblemen and the mechanics with Claus/Alistair looking on. Mullin slugs the Goliath captain and tells him how much of a coward he is for fleeing. The captain pulls his sword and is about to decapitate him. Mullin continues insulting him. Right when he’s about to die the owner of the casino shoots the sword. Alex appears and says it’s time to go. The captain of the Goliath demands an apology from Alex and throws a glove at him. The captain says he wants a ship to ship duel. Alex agrees.

The two ships move out. The Goliath crew sees the Silvana and realize just who they’re now dealing with. They decide to attack early to try and win. The Goliath opens fire on the Silvana’s backside. They think they sunk it but in reality they did no damage.

Sophia asks Alex if they can use the secret weapon and he authorizes it. The casino owner officially starts the duel and the Silvana turns around. It opens fire unleashing a huge volley again the Goliath, sinking it.

After seeing the duel, Lavie gives Mullin a medal she made telling him it’s good he didn’t get on that ship.
