Naruto arrives at the bridge in time to stop Haku from finishing off Sasuke. Naruto believes he is one of those heroes who show up at the last moment to save everyone. Kakashi believes he is an idiot for blowing any cover he could’ve had. Haku thinks back to when she first met Naruto. Naruto tries to use his shadow clone jutsu to begin fighting Haku but Zabuza throws some shurikens at him. Haku prevents the shurikens from hitting Naruto. Kakashi criticizes Naruto for revealing himself like he did but then refocuses on why Haku interfered with Zabuza’s attack. Haku tells Zabuza he would like to deal with Naruto in his own way. Zabuza calls Haku too soft. Sasuke examines his own wounds and agrees with Zabuza because he notices none of his wounds are serious. Naruto threatens to rip Haku apart. Kakashi realizes Naruto doesn’t stand a chance and contemplates helping Naruto and Sasuke. Zabuza tells Kakashi if he goes after Naruto and Sasuke then he will kill the bridge builder. Naruto yells at Haku for deceiving them and saving Zabuza. Haku apologizes but says deception is the way of the shinobi. Sasuke launches an attack from inside Haku’s Crystal Ice Mirror jutsu but Haku dodges it. Haku re-enters his Crystal Ice mirrors and tells Naruto they can have their fight after he finishes off Sasuke.

Inside the Crystal Ice Mirrors jutsu, Sasuke tries to figure out how Haku is moving so fast in between each mirror. Haku attacks him as Naruto watches on. Sasuke at first believes Haku is using clones in each mirror to attack him so fast but then realizes there would be no point to the mirrors if they were just clones. Kakashi yells at Naruto and Sasuke they need to work together to attack the jutsu and Haku from the outside and inside. Naruto decides to sneak into the jutsu to help Sasuke. Sasuke yells at Naruto for messing up their new plan. Sasuke decides to use his Fireball jutsu to try and melt the ice mirrors; however, it has no effect. Haku launches another attack from his mirrors knocking Naruto and Sasuke to the ground. Naruto uses his Shadow Clone jutsu to try and attack all the mirrors at once to figure out which one Haku is in. Haku destroys all of them as Sasuke watches on. Haku tells them the mirrors reflect her image and that she is able to see their moves at a slower speed.

Outside the jutsu, Kakashi realizes Haku’s jutsu is a kekkei genkai. Sakura asks what kekkei genkai is and Kakashi explains it is a blood line trait like sharingan.
