Naruto tells us that the show has changed to a new time, 7:27, and is about to present the show’s new theme song but Konohamaru appears saying it is 7:00 and that this is the time slot for The Prince of Tennis. Naruto and Konohamaru disappear. Kakashi appears and asks Sakura and Sasuke if they’re ready. They say no and that the tape for the episode hasn’t even arrived. Kakashi says he can do his ninja dance but then decides he’ll get the video. He tells Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto to fill the time as a mission. Sakura yells at Naruto and then hits him.

Everyone is now outside the Forest of Death. Anko explains this is where the second part of the chunin exam will take place. A fake rock appears next to Naruto and wonders what is up with it. He begins running back and forth and the rocks follow him. Eventually he stops and tells the rocks it is the worst disguise because there is no such thing as square rocks. A voice says Naruto is slick and he wouldn’t expect anything less from his greatest rival. The box explodes and Moegi, Udon, and Konohamaru appear. Naruto asks the three what they want because he is about to take the second part of the exam. Konohamaru says they’re on official business and explain they have come to write a story for the academy’s newspaper and would like to interview Naruto. Anko tells Naruto he is holding up the exams. Anko says she forgot that they wanted to interview her so she tells everyone to take a ten minute break. Naruto says he thought he was the only one being interviewed. Konohamaru says he isn’t but he is the most important.

Naruto and Konohamaru’s interview begin. Naruto likes ramen and wants to be Hokage. We then see flashbacks of every episode that has aired up until now. Konohamaru tells Naruto to talk about Sasuke and Sakura. Naruto talks about his rivalry with Sasuke and about how he thinks Sakura likes him. Konohamaru tells Naruto he doesn’t think Sakura likes him. Naruto says she does and then begins talking about their squad. We then see more flashback of Naruto’s “dangerous missions” the weed picking, dog walking, etc. Naruto then talks about him and the hokage and we see him using the sexy jutsu on the third. Konohamaru tells Naruto that content isn’t appropriate so he tells him to talk about when they met. We see some flashbacks of him and Konohamaru meeting. Naruto then talks about how Iruka was the only who was kind to him. Konohamaru tells him the whole article can’t be about him. Naruto says he can tell him about all the times Sasuke messed up and Konohamaru says he has already heard those stories.

From a distance Sakura tells Sasuke she is sure Naruto is only talking about himself.

Kakashi checks in with Sakura and Sasuke. The two tell Kakashi they are letting Naruto fill time. Kakashi says he should have the tape delivered by the end of the next commercial break. The end of the next commercial break comes and Kakashi hasn’t appeared. Sasuke tells Sakura she’ll just have to fill the time.

Moegi tells us that she looks up to Sakura. Sakura tells Moegi that if she wants to know the truth about Naruto then she should talk to her. Sakura tells us about all of Naruto’s jutsus, shadow clone, sexy jutsu, etc. Sakura says most of the time Naruto is just being Naruto. Sakura changes the subject to Sasuke and we see some flashbacks of Sasuke. Naruto tells Sakura is putting us to sleep with everything about Sasuke but Sakura continues telling us about Sasuke for a little bit. Sakura eventually changes the subject to Kakashi and explains he is the copy ninja who has copied over a thousand jutsus with his sharingan. He also loves to read books and the biggest mystery is what is under his mask. We see some flashbacks of Kakashi fighting. Sakura wonders why only Kakashi’s one eye has the sharingan and why he has it at all because it is unique to the Uchiha clan. Sakura tells us there are other types of ninjutsu but she doesn’t have time to tell us about it.

Udon asks Sasuke if he can interview him and Sasuke says ok. Naruto tells him the interview is about him but Sasuke says they can to interview everybody. We then see flashbacks of Sasuke meeting his new rivals such as Lee, Neji, and Gaara.

“There are other ninja here you know. Believe it.”-Sasuke

Sasuke tells us the ninja taking the exam are the crème of the crop except for Naruto and then tells us the names of the other genin from the leaf village. Sasuke says he is better than them but Naruto tells him he couldn’t beat Lee. Sakura tells the two to stop and then says they’ll pass the exam as a team.

Konohamaru, Moegi, and Udon thank them for the interview and then leaves. Kakashi arrives with the tape and says he is late because he bumped into a cute girl who wanted to go dancing.
