Ralph is the original vanship pilot meant to deliver Alvis to the Silvana. He comes under assault from a guild starship and dies of his wounds. However, before he dies he passes his mission on to Claus/Lavie and also gives Claus his ship's figure head. Later on in the series we see he has an older brother who is training the Anatoray vanship pilots for an assault on the Guild. |
